wtftv is a media production business based in the tranquil surrounds of Corlette NSW.
wtftv began back in 2007 as an educational portal for Web, Television, and Film for students studying Advertising and Television Production at Sydney TAFE. Stephen Keating is the head of wtftv and has been involved in the Advertising and Production Industry since the early 1980s, working on a range of television commercials including the famous "Grim Reaper" Aids commercial, Video Ezy, Shop-A-Docket and many more. Stephen led a team that won a Silver Award at the Promotion Marketing Awards of Asia for a campaign conducted on behalf of National Geographic Channel in Australia in 2002.
Stephen has worked tirelessly in the development of innovative technologies in Media Production and was on the Executive Committee of the Australian Screen Editors Guild of Australia 2011-2012. Stephen is also a Professional member of AACTA (Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts) in the Editor chapter.
Stephen spent almost twenty years training hundreds of up and coming Advertising and Television Professionals as a teacher of both Advertising and Television Production at Sydney TAFE and was the co-author of the National Advertising Curriculum, most of which is still currently delivered in Universities and colleges across Australia.
Port Stephens is where Stephen is now based, with his goal being to bring the best in new media technologies to the area, to keep things local. Our prices reflect our local nature, being around 40% lower than metropolitan counterparts offering similar services. The aim is to build local relationships, promote the area and keep things local. The prices we offer are exclusive to Port Stephens only, and are not available outside of the area.
Stephen has been involved in VR technologies since 2007, starting with the early incarnations of "Second Life", which led to recognising the potential for inetractive social media and 3D graphics.
wtftv uses the Matterport system for producing 3D virtual tours, adding our unique blend of interactive promotions, to which we are the first in the world to offer this service. Stephen also uses a Canon 5D Mk4 camera for additional stills photography and external panoramic tours where the use of a cumbersome Matterport camera is not practical. As such, Stephen is highly experienced in manually stitching 360º Panoramas - a skillset that ensures your Matterport 3D scan will be of the highest commercial quality, taking into account, lighting and camera alignment
We use the latest Matterport Pro 2 Camera, which has only just been released and is a vast improvement on the original Matterport pro camera used by many operators around the world.
